The announcement we have eagerly been anticipating has finally arrived- the Institute of Interim Management has launched its annual survey. This is something EO look out for every year, as it is key to obtaining detailed market insight into how we can support the interim community.
Annually, we see in the survey results that a key route to market for professional interim managers and executives is the Interim Service Provider (ISP). EO Executives have been a provider of interim management services since 2000 and continue to focus on supporting our interim network.
We wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support in the past, and as an interim executive we strongly encourage you to have your say. The survey is important for establishing a strong industry and contributing to existing market knowledge.
What is the IIM survey?
Those that are familiar with the Institute of Interim Management (IIM) will know that the survey is great for providing insights around market conditions and the leading service providers So, if you are an interim yourself or even looking to hire an Interim Manager, this could be a key ‘go to’ resource for you to use.
Changes to the market
Since establishing the survey back in 2004, it is clear to see the interim market has changed tremendously since then. With changes to the working landscape, such as Brexit, IR35, GDPR and the emergence of the gig economy, the demands of both candidates and clients have shifted.
How? Having recently conducted our own EO Interim Survey, our findings showed the majority of organisations are undergoing/anticipating vast change and transformations; requiring leaders who are agile, flexible and highly skilled. These individuals need to have the ability to work strategically but also implement, and thus it is crucial that service providers can meet clients demands and contribute to the continued success of the interim market.
Why should you vote?
50% of the EO Interim survey respondents stated they will use an Interim Service provider to obtain their roles. However, a tremendous 74% of interim's surveyed do not believe enough is being done to support the Interim community- which needs to change. Therefore, this is your chance to have your say and shift this perception.
